Detailed Itinerary
Srinagar (Arrival)
Get to the houseboat or hotel after arriving at the airport. Take a half-day tour of the renowned Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh (The Garden of Pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), which were constructed in Kashmir during the Mughal era. Go for a Shikara ride on Dal Lake in the afternoon. Spend the night in Srinagar after dinner at the hotel. (D)
Srinagar -Sonamarg - Kargil (202 km/5 hrs)
After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Kargil (the road passes through a beautiful village to reach Sonamarg, 2740 mtrs). The path to Zojila Pass (3527 meters) is generally uneven after Sonamarg. Continue driving in the direction of Drass; it will take you two and a half hours to reach Kargil (2710 meters). Dinner and sleep in Kargil. ( D)
Kargil-Leh
After checking out early for breakfast, travel to the Indus and Zanskar rivers (Sangam), going over Namkila and Fatula Passes and stopping at the monasteries of Mulbekh, Lamayuru, and Moon fields. Drive along the Indus River, stop at Magnetic Hill and Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, then continue on to the Leh Hall of Fame. Dinner and sleep in Leh (B, D)
Leh - Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (125 kms / 5-6 hrs)
After breakfast, travel along winding roads to reach the Khardung La Pass. See the Deskit Gompa and the Deskit Valley en route. Get to know the renowned Bactrian camels by driving to Hunder via a region of sand dunes. Nubra for dinner and the night. (B, D)
Turtuk Excursion
Head to Turtuk for an excursion following breakfast. One of Ladakh's most exciting travel experiences. While traveling through breathtaking mountain ranges and villages, Baltistan is a lovely community with endearing residents. Return to Nubra Valley in the evening. Nubra for dinner and the night. Pangong Lake via Shayok
Visit the Diskit monastery after breakfast to take in the breathtaking panorama of the Nubra Valley. Later, take the Shayok route to Pangong Lake. Savor the breathtaking views of the stunning mountains and landscapes, as well as the turquoise-colored panorama lake. Pangong for dinner and the night. (B, D)
Pangong-Leh
Rise early to see the lake's sunrise. Drive back to Leh after breakfast, stopping at Shey Palace and the Thiksey monasteries. Dinner and overnight in Leh (B, D)
